Thank you for choosing Northside Animal Hospital. We are a full service veterinary facility providing the finest professional health care for your pet. The staff at Northside offers the best in personal attention and care to you and your pet. Northside Animal Hospital was established by Morris Hill, DVM in the early 1950's at our present location, 2015 North Queen Street.
At that time the business was a mixed animal practice serving cows, horses, pigs, sheep, as well as companion pets. In 1983 Jimmy Shaver, DVM joined Dr. Hill in the practice. Dr Shaver bought the practice in 1991 when Dr. Hill retired. Today our practice is limited to companion animals such as cats and dogs. We have better diagnostic capablities, more sophisticated treatment regimes, and better understanding of disease processes.
Today, our pet's life spans have increased dramatically through proper immunizations, better nutrition, and excellent veterinary care. Our practice emphasizes preventive veterinary medicine through vaccinations, heartworm and parasite control, proper nutrition, and routine veterinary care.

When bringing your pet in for a check-up or examination, remember that he/she may be a little uneasy about meeting new people and animals.
For this reason, we ask that your pet be placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before coming into the waiting room.
If you think your pet has a contagious disease such as Parvovirus, please call before you come in and give us details on your pet's condition.
We may wish to have you wait in an unoccupied room rather than expose other animals to a possibly harmful condition.
