Team
Report
The team at Southkent is united by one mission: protecting the love you share with your pet.
It's why we come into work.
Dr. Meggan Freeland graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019.
She also completed a Bachelor's of Animal Science and is finishing her Master's in Food Safety at MSU.
She grew up on her family farm in Parma, MI and was active in 4-H.
She ran on the MSU cross country and track teams and worked as an AI technician for a cattle genetics company for 2 years prior to veterinary school.

Once-a-year exams for your dog or cat are the true centerpiece of preventive health care.
If our key wellness measures are the spokes of a wheel, once a year exam is the hub holding them together.
Because it's during these comprehensive physical exams that all health variables are evaluated together to better assess your pet's immediate health care needs.
Why Once a Year?
The early phase of a serious condition can quietly develop inside a perfectly healthy-looking dog or cat.
But remember: Dogs and cats age far more quickly than we do, becoming middle-aged by their 4th birthday.
