Services
Diagnostics/Laboratory
Report
To help with the treatment process, sometimes bloodwork is recommended to properly diagnose your pet and verify if the recommended treatment plan will be the best course for your pet.
Certain medications can alter organ function if those organs are already in bad condition.
It is always best to get a base line before any medication is started to know if your pet has improved after the treatment is completed.
To ensure your pet can properly process and eliminate an anesthetic agent, we can run tests to confirm that your pet's organs are functioning properly and to find possible hidden health conditions that could put your pet at risk.
Surgery
Report
Here at Cole Veterinary Hospital, we utilize state of the art monitoring equipment during all of our anesthetic procedures for animal surgery.
Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians are side by side with the Veterinarian, ensuring your pet is closely monitored throughout his or her entire surgical procedure.
We understand anesthesia can be scary, and we are happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have prior to your pet's anesthetic procedure.
We also can perform pre-surgical screening for every animal surgery to ensure that we are completely prepared for your pet's anesthetic procedure.
Spay and Neuter
Report
There are several reasons to either spay or neuter your pet regardless of whether or not you plan on housing him inside or outside.
One reason to have this procedure completed is to reduce the amount of behavioral issues that arise in pets.
If you have ever watched a cat decide to mark its territory in your home, then you have had experience some of these issues.
Spaying or neutering your dogs and cats can provide many health benefits, along with preventing unwanted puppies or kittens.
We recommend to spay and neuter when your pet is around 6 months of age, after their series of vaccinations are complete.
Dental Health & Cleaning
Report
Caring for your pet's teeth is just as important as caring for your own.
We at Cole Veterinary Hospital recommend evaluating your pet's teeth every year.
Approximately 70-80% of pets show signs of dental disease by the age of three.
Advanced animal dental disease can lead to infection and tooth loss, and also have effects on the heart, liver, and kidneys.
If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms, let our veterinarians take a look to determine if a professional dental cleaning is needed.
CryoProbe
Report
If you've noticed anything on your pet's skin that concerns you, or that appears to bother your pet, ask your vet to check it out.
Your vet will tell you if it's safe to just leave it alone!
CryoProbe can remove most common animal skin pathologies in just a few seconds, such as extra eyelashes (distichiasis), warts and small skin tumors, tumors in the mouth, and more.
The CryoProbe contains nitrous oxide.
The vet points the pen at the lesion and presses the trigger to release a powerful microjet of cold gas, which freezes the skin tissue to -89 degrees celsius.
