You and your pet are welcome to join us for a traditional In-Hospital appointment, or if you prefer, we will continue to offer Curbside care as well. All medication and prescription diet pick-up's will be provided curbside as our lobby space is very limited. Please continue to be patient and kind to our staff. The team has endured many protocol changes to be able to best serve our community and we ask for your understanding as we once again implement these new protocols.
For In-Hospital visits, we invite you to enter at the front door and proceed to the lobby for check-in as usual. We will escort you to an exam room as quickly as possible. Bowman Veterinary Hospital has proudly served the Auburn area for generations. With high-quality veterinary care and a long-standing staff, we treat our clients and their pets like family.
Our staff will get to know you and your pet by name and will welcome you personally each time you visit our practice. Located right on the Interstate-80 corridor, we are easily accessible from nearby areas including: Grass Valley, Lake of the Pines, Penryn, Colfax, Cool, Alta, Higgins Corner, Eden Valley, Michigan Bluff, Volcano Ville, and Newcastle.

Acupuncture is a great option for house pets and working pets who have chronic or acute conditions.

Cold Laser Therapy
Report
Our cold laser provides effective, pain-free treatment that can speed up healing and even reduce physical discomfort for your pets.
Whether your working dog has suffered an injury or your house cat has just had surgery, cold laser therapy is a safe and useful solution that can jumpstart healing.
We use light from a low-wattage laser to stimulate cells and encourage healing and increased blood flow by opening up the blood vessels.
This gets new blood flowing to the affected area so the body can create more red blood cells to jumpstart healing.

Dentistry
Report
At Bowman Veterinary Hospital, we know that great health for dogs and cats starts in the mouth with oral care, which is why we recommend yearly dental exams.
By the age of three, most pets will have some form of dental disease.
If left untreated, periodontal disease can travel through the bloodstream and negatively affect other areas of the body, like the heart.
Although our pets cannot verbally tell us they have pain in the mouth, there are plenty of ways you can tell if your pet is experiencing some level of dental disease.
