Services
Dr. Laurie A. Bulkeley DVM is the owner of Yolo Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Bulkeley received her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 1988.
She then worked in Oncology at CSU for 1 year, as well as doing relief work in emergency medicine in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Bulkeley spent the next 9 years developing her skills in internal medicine, oncology, surgery and dentistry at Arcadia Small Animal Hospital.
In 1997 Dr. Bulkeley relocated to Woodland, California.
Her passion and love for animals was so strong, she decided to run and operate her own animal clinic.
You might think puppy and kitten wellness programs are a fad, but the importance of keeping your pets healthy throughout their lives cannot be overstated.
We provide whole in-house preventative and diagnostic technology for your beloved pet.
Our animal wellness program looks into the special needs of your furry friend, especially if it's a breed known to have unique problems.
When you bring your baby in for a puppy wellness checkup, we can discuss the health concerns they may be prone to face.
Your Maine Coon kitten is going to grow to be really big, so you need a kitten wellness program to ensure it doesn't become obese.
Even though your dog or cat is domesticated, they still have the instincts of a wild animal.
With that said, they do not show pain because that shows vulnerability to its predators.
Your pet is also part of the family.
As such, Yolo Veterinary Clinic in Woodland offers veterinary diagnostics, much like the preventative medicine you receive from your doctor, to ensure your furry friend is at their healthiest.
Our veterinary staff are radiological experts and always remain up-to-date with technology.
One of the biggest issues we see here at Yolo Veterinary Clinic is bad teeth.
Your dog and cat can get plaque and gingivitis just like you can, and unless you trained them when they were a puppy and a kitten, they aren't going to open wide and let you brush their teeth twice a day.
Teeth-cleaning snacks are not enough.
They do not give your furry friends the comprehensive pet dental care they need.
Just like you, your best buddy needs to go to the dentist.
Fortunately, our staff at our clinic in Woodland has people who can help with your pet's dental health.
Despite popular belief, your pet does not want to vacation with you.
Yolo Veterinary Clinic in Woodland offers both dog boarding and cat boarding, and we do so with facilities that are climate controlled for your animal's comfort.
We provide ample space for play and recreation, and when your canine is out romping around with the other residents they will forget how much they miss you.
Felines have their own space, and their playroom is filled with places to climb and explore.
The beauty of our dog and cat boarding services is that we can also take care of your animal if it has special needs.
