About Us
Report
Root River Veterinary Center began operation in 1981; at that time we treated predominantly livestock and the occasional pet.
A lot has changed in the past 30 years including our perspective on pet healthcare!
In 2011, Root River Veterinary Center became the only veterinary clinic in Fillmore County that is focused exclusively on providing healthcare for cats and dogs.
We have extensive training in many modalities of pet veterinary care in addition to acupuncture and chiropractic treatments which enables us to provide many options for good health to your pets.

Vaccines
Report
We live in a rural area and many diseases that we vaccinate against still exist in our wildlife population.
Protecting your pet against preventable diseases is a key component to keeping them healthy.
Each pet has individual exposure to disease and will have a vaccination schedule designed to suit his unique needs.
All animals receiving vaccinations at Root River Veterinary Center, regardless of age, receive a "nose to tail" physical examination by a veterinarian to assure that they are healthy enough to be vaccinated.
