We have grown throughout the years and expanded to include five veterinarians and twenty-two employees. The average employee has been with the hospital for nine years, allowing us to develop a culture of continuity of ideas and commitment to the community. Between the five doctors, over one hundred years of total experience is freely shared. The doctors have the ability to consult with one another on various cases and procedures.
We strive to keep up to date with medical information, new techniques and the latest equipment. We hold bi-monthly dinner meetings with specialists in various areas, who keep us up to date about their areas of expertise. Our doctors recognize that not all conditions fully respond to conventional medicine, and therefore we have added therapeutic laser treatments, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and most recently stem cell transplant treatment options.
Little Silver Animal Hospital has a strong commitment to our surrounding communities, helping local shelters and rescue groups with food, medicine and equipment purchases, low-cost medical treatments, and pet adoptions.

Pet Vaccinations
Report
Depending on your pet's age and vaccination history, your veterinarian might recommend a custom vaccination plan.
It is crucial for all dogs and cats to receive the recommended pet vaccinations for their species.
Even pets that remain indoors most, if not all, of the time can still catch airborne viruses through an open window or door or from the outside environment when they go to the bathroom.
Some viruses can even be carried in on clothing or other items people bring into the home.
Pet viruses are often spread among animals through direct contact with infected animals that are wild or whose owners did not keep their pet vaccinations up to date.

Spay/Neuter
Report
The primary reason you should have your pet spayed or neutered early on is that female dogs and cats can begin their heat cycles as early as seven months and males can develop aggressive behaviors during puppyhood or kittenhood.
Spaying and neutering your pets come with a myriad of health and behavioral benefits that allow them to live longer, happier lives.
When a female dog or cat goes into heat, they can become highly uncomfortable, will seek attention and will likely attract attention from male dogs and cats in the area.

Pet Dental Care
Report
Dental care is an important and often overlooked factor in keeping your pet healthy and happy.
According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of oral disease by three years of age.
Consistent home dental care and routine professional examinations can help prevent problems like bad breath or oral infections.
We provide a complete dental service that is commonly overlooked by most owners.
Home dental care is where prevention starts, but we understand that is not always practical because our pets may not be "cooperative".
