Caldwell Veterinary Clinic was founded in the early 1960's by Dr. Alvin Kutach, who semi-retired in 2001.
Since its beginnings in the 60's, our clinic has grown to become a 3-doctor practice, with Dr. Gordon arriving on the scene in 1989 and Dr. Jungman in 1997.
The building Caldwell Veterinary Clinic resides in now was built in 1967, and we love getting to be a figure in the history of our community.
We have always and will continue to be a supporting staple for Burleson County.
We enjoy the benefit of a growing, small town where we still establish meaningful, lasting, and even generational connections with our clients, while offering a wide range of modern medical services.

Dr. Marquis "Marq" Gordon, from Eastland, Texas, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1984 with his undergrad in Geology and again in 1989 with his DVM.
He started working at the Caldwell Veterinary Clinic 31 years ago in 1989 and raised his family here.
He currently has 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 pony named Pirate!
Arg!, and some beef cattle.
If he has spare time (which really does not happen) Dr. Gordon enjoys fly-fishing, hunting, archery, woodworking and blacksmithing.
He also enjoys driving Morgan crazy with his old-country music while they perform surgery.
He started working at the Caldwell Veterinary Clinic 31 years ago in 1989 and raised his family here.

We primarily work on dogs, cats, cattle, horses, whitetails, goats, sheep, and fair projects.
However, if you have a pet/animal outside these species, give us a call, we are happy to assist whether we see the pet or point you in the right direction.

Throughout an annual exam, a doctor will check over various health points of your pet such as lymph nodes, eyes, teeth/gums, weight/diet, etc.
We also recommend that your pet receive 3 vaccines: Rabies, DA2PP/L4 (Combo vaccine), and Bordetella.
If you are welcoming a new puppy to the family, congratulations and we are happy to assist you in getting your new family member all set up.
The following plan is highly recommended to completely protect your puppy.
A puppy's immune system is not fully developed until 16 weeks of age; therefore, we recommend boosters of the combo vaccine every 3 weeks starting at 8 weeks of age until they are 16 weeks old.
We also recommend that your pet receive 3 vaccines: Rabies, DA2PP/L4 (Combo vaccine), and Bordetella.
If you are welcoming a new puppy to the family, congratulations and we are happy to assist you in getting your new family member all set up.
