Services
We provide veterinary services for every stage in your pet's life, from their first shots to a lifetime of preventive care to keep her happy and healthy.
Whether your pet is visiting for a regular wellness exam, dental cleaning, boarding, grooming, or some an advanced treatment, we strive to deliver excellent care in all areas.
We provide state-of-the-art care in a full range of services including orthopedics, digital x-ray, spay & neuter, and more.
Loving and caring for an animal is one of the most rewarding endeavors you can pursue.
Pet wellness care entails every aspect of caring for your pet such as walking, playing, plenty of fresh water, and nourishing food, but your pet also requires the consistent care of a good veterinarian for all their health needs, such as pet physical exams, and vaccinations.
A pet physical wellness exam is an integral part of your pets well being and can aid in early identification of certain diseases.
At this visit, we will record your pet's weight, look at his/her coat to make sure it is shiny and smooth and not dry or coarse, and check his/her skin for signs of dryness, greasiness, or "hot spots" (localized areas of inflammation or infection).
As part of our commitment to provide you with access to the best medical care for pets in the Central Kentucky Area, the veterinarians at Town and Country Animal Clinic have also invested in the latest diagnostic technology.
After performing a thorough examination, diagnostic tests are sometimes necessary in order to identify the underlying cause of your pet's illness.
It is our policy to review any recommended tests with you before they are performed, as well as discuss all the available treatment options and fees.
We understand how important your pet is to you and for the total health of our furry patients, we offer a wide range of well, sick, and surgical services.
From routine vaccines and routine surgical procedures like spaying and neutering -to- more complex and emergency surgeries, we are here to provide you with only the highest quality veterinary medicine for all your pet's medical needs.
Many pet owners dread going to the veterinary office, especially when surgery is involved.
There is a lot of stress, anxiety, and trepidation for fear that the personnel won't care for the pet well enough, take the appropriate precautions during the pet surgery, or monitor the pet closely enough after the surgery.
Periodontal disease is one of the most common and serious pet health problems, affecting approximately 80% of dogs and 70% of cats by age 3. At-home prevention is as important as regular teeth cleaning by veterinarians.
In fact, unless pet owners provide teeth cleaning for dogs and cats at home, periodontal disease will progress regardless of the care provided by veterinarians.
Periodontal disease often results in tooth and gum infections, pain, loss of teeth and even organ damage in pets.
Studies have shown that dogs with severe periodontal disease have more damage in their kidneys, heart muscle and liver than dogs without periodontal disease.
