In light of these changes, we're going to take this opportunity to begin summer hours, and give our truly dedicated staff some relief by allowing for two days off in a row, a whole weekend! At Tavares Crossroads Veterinary Clinic our aim is to provide comprehensive care for every situation and stage of life.
Emphasizing preventative care, such as pet wellness exams, dentistry, immunizations, spay/neuter surgery (which also helps prevent reproductive cancer and other health risks), microchipping and more, we can help your pet live longer and healthier!
Using advanced diagnostics to help us identify the problem quickly and conclusively, we can then administer the appropriate medications, perform surgery and/or provide you with the nutritional advice, lifestyle adjustment and other home care tips to help your pet manage or recover from a health challenge.

Wellness & Preventative Care
Report
An Annual Pet Wellness Exam is a medical examination, such as a yearly physical check-up, that is aimed at early detection of disease and helping to ensure a healthy life for your pet.
Depending on the breed and size of the pet, the average pet will age about five to seven years for every human year.
That means that the health of a 7-year-old terrier is equivalent to that of a 35-year-old human.
Because of your pet's short life span (averaging about 14 years), it is extremely important that your pet receive preventive care at least once per year and twice per year for pets over nine years of age.
