Did you know that accreditation for animal hospitals is voluntary?
Surprising, isn't it?
Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not.
In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
We are proud to call ourselves an AAHA-accredited hospital.
In the United States, all human hospitals that serve people with Medicare must be accredited through an accrediting body; they undergo regular reviews and quality checks to ensure they meet standards of quality for every aspect of medical care.
Wellness
Report
At certain stages of a pet's life medical screening tests may uncover disease which is not producing symptoms yet and can not be detected through examination.
Early detection gives us the best opportunity to eliminate or alleviate the condition ensuring a long and healthy life for your pet.
With preventative care, we are able to establish a reference point of what is normal for your pet.
Blood, urine and fecal testing allow the doctor to look inside your pet to see things that are not apparent from the outside.
Dentistry
Report
Good dental health is vital to the overall well-being and quality of life of your pet.
Nearly 85% of cats and dogs have some form of dental disease by the age of three years.
Dental disease causes internal organ problems as well as extreme pain and discomfort to your pet.
Good dental health will help your pet to live a longer and happier life.
Dental exams are a part of every wellness exam.
We urge our clients to clean their pet's teeth regularly at home to help maintain good dental health.
We may recommend a dental prophylaxis under general anesthesia when the accumulation of tartar and gingivitis (disease under the gums) become a problem.
