Dr. Range is a native of Marlin, Texas and attended public schools in Marlin graduating in 1970.
He attended Texas A & M University and has been a licensed practicing veterinarian in Texas since 1975.
He practiced in South Houston, Texas for a short time before moving to Mart in 1978 and opening Mart Veterinary Clinic to serve the Mart, Marlin, and central Texas area.
Professional area and statewide duties include serving on the Board of Directors for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Secy.

Meet Dr Range
Report
Dr. Range was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1952 while his dad was serving in the U.S. Army.
At 6 months of age, Dr. Range's family moved the Mesquite and lived on the Range family farm until mid 1955 when Dr. Range's father purchased a farm in Falls County, Texas just east of Marlin.
During grade school, Dr. Range was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, rising to the rank of Eagle with two palms.
He was also was Order of the Arrow and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster while in the Boy Scouts.
The high point of his scouting experience was going on a 10 day trek in the Sangre de Christo mountains at Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron, New Mexico.

Due to the large numbers of shows, fairs, trail rides and other events involving horses, make sure that Coggins tests are up to date and current for all of the horses that you use for these events.
Don't forget about horses and other equidae taken out of state for hunting purposes.
Three cases - horses living in Bell, Brazos and McLennan counties - have been investigated and confirmed positive this past week.
An additional five suspect equine West Nile Virus cases are under investigation.
Initial reports link these horses to Brazos, Coryell, Lampasas, Limestone and McLennan counties, but it remains unclear at this phase of the investigations if the horses actually reside in those counties.
