The Visiting Veterinarian provides mobile veterinary care for dogs and cats in the comfort and security of their own homes. Dr. Conn travels throughout Kent County (including Chestertown, Rock Hall, Tolchester, Fairlee, Worton, Lynch, Betterton, Kennedyville, Millington, and Galena), and northern Queen Anne County (Kingstown and Crumpton) on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore.

Veterinary house calls are an ideal alternative for busy professionals, retirees, homes with multiple pets, owners or pets with limited mobility, pets who are too elderly or anxious for trips to a veterinary hospital, and especially for owners and pets who enjoy our personalized attention. The Visiting Veterinarian is committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet.

Our services are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of issues as your pet ages; and complete medical care during their lifetime. Most of the routine veterinary services your pet needs can be done with a house call visit.

Wellness Checks
Report
Remember that discovering disease processes early on enables us to speed treatments and can lead to better eventual outcomes.
We can also do viral testing, Felv/FIV tests for cats, and parasite checks for dogs and cats.
Occasionally, when clients come into the veterinarian's office, they often just want a quick vaccine.
They might need to board a dog, so they require a Bordatella-kennel cough (not portabella!) vaccine.
Or perhaps the Animal Control Officer has nabbed their pooch on the lam and now demands proof of a valid Rabies vaccination.
Flea and Tick Control
Report
We'll help you control fleas, ticks, ear mites, worms, and other pests that don't belong in or on your cat or dog.
Adult fleas spend their time on your pet, but flea eggs, larvae, and pupae are found in grass.
Keeping your dogs and cats out of tall grasses and woods will help reduce their exposure to ticks.
But any animal that goes outside can get ticks, so products that will repel and kill ticks are necessary.
Internal Medicine Consults
Report
Because I work closely with top doctors in our field, I often refer cases for surgical, neurological, or medical consults with a super team of board certified specialists.
Owners can opt for x-rays, chest or abdominal ultrasounds, endoscopy, advanced opthalmological procedures, MRI's, or chemotherapeutic treatments for their pets.
Health Certificates
Report
If you are taking your pet across state or international borders, a health certificate as well as other documentation may be required.
The health certificate must be signed by an accredited veterinarian after examining your pet and determining that it is free of infectious diseases, and that it satisfies all import requirements of the receiving state, territory, or country.
International travel often requires USDA endorsement of the certificate.
For more information, see the AVMA's resources on Animal Travel and Transport and Basic Timeline for Interstate and International Travel with Animals.
