Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services provides high-quality, compassionate veterinary care to the cats and dogs of Lebanon, Virginia and the surrounding areas. We are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The Doctors and Staff of Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services offers after-hours emergency services for our clients up to 11 pm each evening, and resuming at 7am each morning.

We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services was established in 1975 by Drs.
Bayard and Margaret (Peggy) Rucker following their graduation from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
The original hospital, Lebanon Veterinary Clinic, was located on Highway 71 just outside of Lebanon, Virginia.
Our new, beautifully maintained, the hospital was built in 1985, remodeled and added onto in 2008-2009 and is located just off the Highway 19 bypass in Lebanon.

Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.
We have a staff of three Veterinarians, five Veterinary Nurses, five Kennel Attendants, a Practice Manager, a Client Service Specialist, and four receptionists.
At Southwest Virginia Veterinary Services we strive to offer not only to sound advice but also caring and compassionate veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years.
