At Park County Animal Hospital, we believe in providing the best veterinary care for the pets of South Park. Our relaxed atmosphere puts both pets and the families who love them at ease knowing they will receive personalized attention without having to travel into the city or over an icy mountain pass. Pets who are fortunate enough to live in the Colorado High Country enjoy numerous outdoor activities with their families.
While these activities provide excellent exercise and quality family time, they can also put pets in situations where they are at greater risk for injury and illness. Park County Animal Hospital is equipped to address a wide variety of animal health issues. We offer a full-service veterinary hospital for dogs and cats, including pet wellness care, surgical services, and emergency care, as well as boarding services for both dogs and cats.

About
Report
Park County Animal Hospital opened in 2003 as a quality health care option for the pets of Fairplay and South Park.
In 2012, Dr. Jeremy Ickes, our current veterinarian, purchased the practice, and all staff remained with the hospital to continue the personalized and excellent veterinary care the community had come to expect.
As a part of this family-oriented community, we have felt privileged to not only provide for the basic needs of the area pets, but to provide comprehensive care with high quality and the kind of compassion that comes from knowing our clients and developing a personalized relationship with each pet.

Report
Park County Animal Hospital is pleased to offer services to the pets of the greater South Park area.
Understanding that the outdoor activities common to our area offer a full and active life for pets and that they also offer a greater opportunity for injury and illness, we have designed our hospital to provide both general and critical care for dogs and cats.
Pet wellness care-Prevention of illness and maintaining excellent health is much easier and less costly than addressing problems once they arise.

Emergencies
Report
Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a pet needs to be seen right away or if it can wait overnight until your veterinarian is open again.
When in doubt, we always recommend you call Park County Animal Hospital or one of our emergency referral clinics.
We have found that when a pet owner is concerned, there is usually good reason to bring the pet in for an exam.
Hit by car-Even when the pet looks okay, internal bleeding and shock are life-threatening conditions that are common when a pet has been hit by a car.

Dental Care
Report
Most people understand the importance of regular oral health care and would not miss a day of brushing and flossing their own teeth.
At Park County Animal Hospital, we encourage pet owners to diligently maintain a practice of excellent oral health for their pets, too.
Just like in humans, in the mouths of our pets, bacteria can cause deterioration of the teeth and disease in the gum line.
When left untreated, the decay can cause toothaches, root damage, and even infections that spread to the kidney, liver, and other internal organs.

Our in-house lab is able to process a wide variety of samples from pets to diagnose infectious disease, organ function, parasitic infection, and more.
