Soft Tissue Surgery
Report
Any surgical procedure involving anatomy other than the skeletal system is considered soft tissue surgery.
There are many different types of procedures, including, but not limited to, spay and neuter, tumor removal, laceration/wound repair, biopsies, and abdominal surgeries including caesarian sections, bloat, foreign body removal and more.
We recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing prior to all surgical procedures.
These tests help determine liver and kidney function, along with evaluating the blood cells which aid in infection control, blood clotting and healing.

Surgery-FAQs
Report
Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at River Ridge Animal Hospital we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics.
We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.
We offer in-house blood testing the day of surgery.
We recommend different panels depending on the age and health of your pet.
For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, urine tests or radiographs may be required before surgery as well.

Doggie Daycare
Report
Do you hate the idea of leaving your pet at home alone or in a kennel while you are working or running errands?
Doggie Daycare is the place where pets can meet new friends with similar play interests and spend time playing together.
Compatible playmates will be selected based on energy level, size and age.
Only 3 -5 dogs from different families will be able to play together at one time.
If none of their friends are there for the day or your dog prefers human companions, our playful staff is on hand to jump in and keep your pet active.
