Whether they're a brand new puppy or kitten, a healthy middle-aged pet, or a pet who is reaching their senior years, your companion will receive an annual check-up, which includes a complete physical exam with a thorough evaluation of your pet's heart, lungs, abdomen, eyes, ears, teeth, skin, skeletal system, and neurological system.
If you are bringing your pet for a specific problem, a physical exam is done and then focus will be on your current concern.
Together, we will formulate a plan with you for treatment and/or testing.

Report
I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 and moved to Minnesota the day after graduation.
I am the owner of the practice and am privileged to be working with such a caring and knowledgeable staff.
I am also fortunate to have the support of fabulous clients who make our jobs fun and interesting.
I have lived in Andover since 1989 with my husband and two daughters as well as several dogs and cats.
In my spare time, I read, swim, motorcycle, and enjoy movies and dinner out whenever I can.

Surgery
Report
Most orthopedic surgeries and some complicated soft tissue surgical procedures are performed in our hospital by a board certified veterinary surgeon.
We offer pre-anesthesia bloodwork and intravenous (IV) catheter placement and fluid administration to all surgery patients as an option; however, if your pet is seven years or older, these are requirements before placing your pet under anesthesia to minimize risk.
All surgical procedures are preformed in our closed surgery suite with sterile instruments and gas anesthesia.

Dentistry
Report
Under anesthesia, we use ultrasound technology to thoroughly and efficiently clean your pet's teeth above and below the gum line.
Your pet's teeth are then polished to create a smooth tooth surface that is more resistant to plaque buildup.
During the dental procedure, we evaluate your pet's teeth for fractures, caries (cavities), excessive wear, and other abnormalities.
We will also examine around the gums to detect periodontal disease and use digital dental radiographs to look for unhealthy teeth, such as those with periodontal disease or abscessed roots, that need extraction.
