Monett Veterinary Hospital
At the Monett Veterinary Hospital, your pet's healthcare is our passion. We feel that our commitment to compassionate care for your pet and striving for the ultimate client service sets us apart from the rest. Our AAHA accreditation is just one of the many examples of how we go above and beyond all the rest to provide you and your pet with a pleasurable experience.

Our goal is to keep you and your pet happy for years to come. In 1953, Dr. C.J. McCormick founded the Monett Veterinary Hospital and it has been serving the Monett area for the more than 50 years since. In 1983 the hospital gained AAHA accreditation and has exceeded the ideals that AAHA was founded on ever since. The hospital is a Veterinary Economics Architectural Award Excellence winner and in 2007 received the AAHA Commitment to Excellence Award.

We are a full service AAHA certified small animal hospital that can take care of any of your pet's needs. Due to our training, medical and surgical capabilities, we also serve as a referral center for many local veterinarians.
Services
We provide a complete preventive care program for your pet to keep them healthy.
This starts with a head-to-tail examination by the doctor and a consultation with you about what your pets specific needs and risks are with regards to existing conditions, exposures, environment, and your concerns.
We will then recommend appropriate diagnostic tests, immunizations, dental care, diets, etc. to keep your pet in optimal health.
Since pets are instinctually programmed to hide pain and cannot tell us when something is bothering them, we need to be proactive by doing appropriate diagnostics to detect disease early when it can be more effectively treated.
A Monett native, Dr. Erin Carnes (Gasser) graduated from Monett High School in 2008.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drury University, she was accepted into the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, MO.
She graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 2017.
Upon graduation, Dr. Erin and her husband Zach decided it was time to come back home.
Dr. Erin worked as an Associate Veterinarian for All About Pets in Purdy, MO for a year and a half before purchasing Monett Veterinary Hospital.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is an international association of more than 36,000 veterinary care providers who treat companion animals.
Established in 1933, AAHA is well-known among veterinarians and pet owners for its high standards in veterinary practices and quality pet care.
AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Approximately 3,000 AAHA-accredited hospitals voluntarily choose to be evaluated on 900 standards in the following areas: quality of care, diagnostic and pharmacy, management, medical records, and facility.

Our cat, Penny, wasn't doing well for the past week or two. She didn't have a dedicated vet, but MVH was able to get her in the same day I called them and was able to determine that she was in the late stages of kidney failure, so we decided to have her put to sleep instead of her suffering until she passed away. MVH was very caring and accommodating with us and letting us have plenty of time to say our goodbyes. Thank you MVH.

We had a very sick cat. I called them, and they were able to get us in within the hour. Raven was checked over, and he had a bladder blockage. They gave us a rundown of care and costs and in no way tried to push a decision. we opted for care and they got to work. They kept us updated and were very compassionate. Raven wasn't doing well due to being away from home (he is an anxious cat) so they allowed my daughter to sit with him awhile and leave her shirt for his comfort. We were able to bring him home and he has recovered. Even after releasing him they called every day or so to check on him and answer follow up questions. He is still alive because of the care he received at MVH. The ladies did not walk past him without petting him and telling him he was a handsome boy. He was definitely loved. I could not thank them enough. Worth every dime we paid.
