The Animal Hospital of Huntington Beach was established in 1978 and has been serving the city of Huntington Beach and the surrounding areas with caring, experienced veterinary care for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and exotics.
We are a full service veterinary hospital offering a wide range of veterinary medical services including; laser surgery, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and acupuncture.
In addition, we have an indoor, climate controlled boarding kennel with separate areas for dogs, cats, birds, and other exotics.

If we do not have medicines you need in stock, we will be glad to order it for you and most medicines only take 24 or 48 hours to arrive here.

Our practice manager, Leslie, has spent over 30 years in the veterinary profession.
She has an A.S. degree and Certificate in Animal Science from Mt. San Antonio College, and a Certificate, A.A., and BAS degree in Veterinary Technology-Hospital Management from St. Petersburg College.
In addition, she has been an RVTg (Registered Veterinary Technologist) in California since 1995.
She brings a wide range of experience to our hospital.
In 2011 Leslie received her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification from the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association and became one of the few CVPM's in the country.

Exam Room Assistants

You will meet one of our doctor's assistants in the examination room as they escort you and your pet into one of our 5 comfortable examination rooms to meet the veterinarian.
Our doctor's assistants also referred to as "Client Education Specialists" will take your pet's history, weight, and vital signs.
They will also prepare your pet's immunizations and any medications needed.
Finally, they will be able to explain any treatment plans for your pets and answer any questions that you have on preventative medicine.

Our veterinary assistants are responsible for the care of all boarding and bathing pets.
When your pet stays with us, or just comes in for a bath, they make sure your pet is treated the way they would treat one of their own, giving them the quality attention they deserve.
At pick-up and drop-off time you will meet one of our veterinary assistants who will be happy to answer any of your questions or show you around our facilities with a kennel tour.
