We want to thank you for your patience through the past year. Operating via "curbside service" during this pandemic has been challenging for all of us, staff and pet owners alike. The American Veterinary Medical Association and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association are still recommending we operate via "curbside service, " and we are following that recommendation.

It is our responsibility to provide excellent medical care for your pets; in order to do this, we must ensure the safety of our sole Doctor, as well as the rest of our staff. We appreciate your continued patience, and rest assured that we will announce our "reopening" as soon as we are told it is safe enough to do so! At Herring Veterinary Service, our veterinarians and staff provide our clients with exceptional animal health care and client education.

We strive to deliver the highest level of patient care, serving our clients with professionalism and compassion. Scales, tails, feathers, and fur-your pet is part of your family.
Services
We work hard to ensure that your pet has an exceptional visit every single time we see them.
We want to be a vital, contributing member of our community, respected for our integrity, and committed to the pursuit of excellence.
Cynthia Herring, practice owner, handles the business part of owning a practice.
She founded the practice with the late Dr. Ronald K. Herring in 1986.
For 38 years, she worked side by side with Dr. Herring, creating the foundation for what Herring Veterinary Service has come to represent in the community today.
From their first visit to their later years, prevention is one of the most important things you can do for your pet.
Whether it's vaccines to protect from certain diseases or preventative medication that protects them from parasites like fleas and ticks-we'll make sure they're on the right path for all stages of their life.
Every single exam is a full nose-to-tail exam to make sure we have the full picture of your pet's health.
Did you know that many of the diseases and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats are preventable with suitable pet vaccination protocol?
Your pet's safety comes before anything else when they're in our care for an operation.
Our experienced team makes it their number one priority to focus on pain management, patient safety, and employing the most current surgical practices to ensure your pet receives the best veterinary care around.
Before, during, and after, we'll be here to answer questions about anything and everything-the procedure, anesthesia, or postoperative care.
Once your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions.
Digatherm images map physiological patterns in the body-helping to localize disease, often before it's fully onset.
By utilizing thermal images alongside traditional vital signs, we can proactively diagnose, treat, and monitor our patients.
The differences in temperature, represented by changing colors, make the images easy to interpret and understand.
Prevention is our ultimate goal for patient care.
As the nimble problem-solver, laser therapy (photobiomodulation therapy), is fast acting and versatile.
We know you have a lot of choices when choosing a Clearfield veterinary hospital, and we're happy that you've decided to join the Herring Veterinary Service family.
Your kind words and feedback help us continue to provide over-the-top service to you and your pet.
We have used Herring Veterinary Clinic for years and feel very fortunate to have them care for our pets and our children's pets in the past.
During the pandemic 2020, it is especially a relief knowing they are all doing the best job possible.
