Services
AAHA Accredited Practice
Report
Fishers Veterinary Associates has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1988.
Only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited by AAHA.
Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited.
This means we holds ourselves to a higher standard, and that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards in veterinary care.
We are evaluated every three years by highly trained consultants on our adherence to approximately 900 different standards of veterinary care.
Fear Free Visits
Report
At Fishers Veterinary Associates, we take the physical and mental health of our patients into consideration when performing services and treatments.
We have Fear Free Certified Professionals on our team who are working to "take the 'pet' out of 'petrified'" and provide stress-free visits for all of our patients.
Founded by veterinarian Dr. Marty Becker, the Fear Free Certification Program was developed by board-certified veterinary behaviorists, veterinary technician behavior specialists, board-certified veterinary anesthetists, well-known veterinary practice management experts, and board-certified veterinary practitioners experienced in Fear Free methods.
General Services
Report
Fishers Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer our clients a wide array of services for their pets, ranging from Oncology to Boarding.
If you would like to learn more about any of our listed services, please call 317-842-5865.
Regular visits to the veterinarian are the cornerstone of your pet's health.
Pets age faster than people and regular visits allow us to diagnose health issues early, often when they are more easily addressed.
During your pet's wellness exam, we will perform a physical assessment.
Laser Therapy
Report
Veterinary laser therapy is a relatively new mode of treatment available for pets.
There are a number of reasons why laser therapy might be recommended for a dog or cat, but the most common one is pain management.
Here is some information about veterinary laser therapy and how it can help your pet.
Laser therapy is safe, completely painless and non-invasive.
Through the use of a handheld wand the veterinarian applies a low-frequency light - a "laser" - to specific areas on your pet's body for treatment.
