Laser surgery advantages include less bleeding and less pain because it seals nerve endings and small blood vessels as it cuts. This advancement in technology allows for higher quality radiographs along with the ability to send copies of patients' radiographs digitally for review by other veterinarians. Medical services and discussions involving routine husbandry concerns are provided for ferrets, rabbits and rodents including Guinea pigs, Chinchillas, Hamsters and Rats.

Having the capability to run the following laboratory tests on site allows immediate results allowing the staff at Richland Veterinary Hospital to promptly and properly treat patients.

Benefits of Laser Surgery
Report
Laser surgery has been widely accepted as a higher standard of care in human medicine for over 30 years.
It presents a host of benefits over traditional surgery, and in many procedures, they can replace the scalpel entirely.
The laser seals small blood vessels during surgery.
Because there is less bleeding, surgery is often completed more quickly thus reducing the amount of time your pet will be under anesthesia.
This further reduces potential complications.
Physical contact between the laser and the surgical region is never established, thus eliminating the crushing, tearing and bruising of tissue associated with traditional surgical methods.
CO2 Surgical Laser
Report
Here at Richland Veterinary Associates, we are proud to assist patients with CO2 laser treatment.
We serve patients in LOCATION and the surrounding communities.
Our practice always carries the latest technology to ensure that your pet receives the best care possible.
Because of this, we are proud to treat patients using our CO2 laser.
Unlike steel-blade scalpel-based techniques, there is no mechanical contact when we use the CO2 laser.
The CO2 laser will remove tissue with a highly focused infrared beam.
