Services
Office Wellness Visits
Report
Physical exams are very important throughout an animal's life.
Since they cannot speak to tell us when something is not normal, it is important that the veterinarian is able to routinely examine your pet.
For puppies and kittens we recommend exams at a minimum 8 weeks of age with continuing visits of 2-3 week intervals to complete vaccination protocol.
Puppies and kittens are rapidly growing and early detection of disease or growth abnormalities are needed to ensure the best possible outcome.
For healthy adult dogs and cats, we recommend annual wellness exams along with proper vaccinations and preventative care.
Urgent Care
Report
Emergencies never happen conveniently.
Emergencies are considered top priority over everything else.
Your patience is sincerely appreciated if your appointment must be interrupted by an emergency.
Should an emergency occur after office hours, please call the hospital and follow the instructions given on our voicemail.
Diagnostics
Report
We have an in-house laboratory where we are able to obtain most results within minutes.
For special laboratory testing we use an external reference lab with results returned usually within 24-48 hrs.
Our DR digital x-ray machine can produce images within seconds and we have the ability to send out radiographs electronically to board certified radiologists for second opinions on x-rays if needed.
The images are also stored in the pet's record and can be emailed to specialists or for emergency needs.
Surgery
Report
Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital performs a variety of general surgeries on site with access to board certified surgeons.
We utilize the most advanced anesthesia and pain management protocols with all surgery procedures.
The day of the procedure your pet must be fasted (no food or water) 10-12 hours prior to procedure.
Have your pet dropped off to us between 8:00 - 8:30 am morning of procedure.
After the procedure you will be notified once patient is in recovery.
Patients are released in the afternoon some time between 4:00 - 5:30 with complete instructions regarding care and any medicines prescribed.
