Animal Eye Center
Animal Eye Center (AEC) offers state of the art medical diagnostics and surgical procedures including cataract removal by phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation. The veterinary ophthalmologists and staff at Animal Eye Center are dedicated to providing our clients and their pets with the highest standard of animal eye care available.

We provide routine eye examinations as well as screening examinations for genetic eye disease (CAER exams). AEC also provides ophthalmic emergency services. Animal Eye Center works closely with referring veterinarians to treat patients with ocular disease. Patients with cataracts, glaucoma, corneal ulceration, ocular tumors, eyelid abnormalities, chronic dry eye, vision loss and ocular inflammation may benefit from referral to a veterinary ophthalmologist.

Services
Animal Eye Center is a referral veterinary hospital whose practice is limited to diseases and surgery of the eye.
Our goal is to provide the most advanced medical and surgical care available for our patients.
Animal Eye Center has been serving the Sacramento and Sierra Nevada Foothill community since 1993.

AEC's surgical facility is one of the few in Northern California equipped to perform Ahmed Gonioimplant and Endolaser Cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) surgeries for treatment of glaucoma.
Dr. Linton is a 1980 graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine.
She practiced small animal medicine in Las Vegas for nine years and then returned to UMC where she completed a three-year ophthalmology residency.
In 1993 she established Animal Eye Center, Inc. in Rocklin, CA.
Her special interests include cataract and glaucoma surgeries.
Dr. Linton is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
Dr. Munevar is a California native and graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 where his interest in veterinary ophthalmology began.
Animal Eye Center provides free examinations and treatment for wildlife in need of specialized eye care.
We work closely with wildlife groups in an effort to treat eye disease in the hope that injured animals can be rehabilitated and returned to the wild.
Our veterinary ophthalmologists feel privileged to treat these challenging and interesting cases.
We are deeply gratified when some of these patients can return to their normal habitat.
Animal Eye Center provides discounted services to many rescue groups in our community.

We work closely with your referring veterinarian and will keep them updated with a faxed referral letter sent out on the day of your appointment and by phone updates as needed.

Filling it out prior to your visit will help us to create a new patient record when you arrive at our office.
Please try to include all medications including herbal medications your pet is currently taking and any information about recent diagnosis or treatment for other medical conditions.

If you feel one of your patients has an ocular emergency, please call us at (916) 624-4364 and we will make every attempt to see them as a Daytime emergency.
The ophthalmologists are also happy to help you with a consult over the phone if you have questions about an ocular emergency or other eye problem.
We will fax your hospital a referral letter the day of your client's visit.
