We strive for a special culture at Palisades. In everything we do, we constantly think about what a veterinary practice can mean for you, your pet, and our community. We have created an environment where you feel taken care of, and you are empowered to make the best wellness choices for your pet. We do our best to extend this belief beyond our walls by supporting local events and major charities focused on enriching the lives of the pets in our community.

If you haven't already, schedule your visit so you can feel what it means to be part of our family.

Our people have incredible backgrounds - some have won world championships, and others have dedicated their lives to impassioned causes.
Dr. Deah Hessian is the owner and Medical Director of Palisades Veterinary Hospital.
She purchased the fledgling PVH in 1993, her vision was to create a world class facility with a small-town feel.
In the spring of 2000, Dr. Hessian moved the hospital into its own building near the center of Fountain Hills and the fountain.
A native of California, Dr. Hessian holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Arizona in Animal Health Science, Education, and Agriculture Engineering.
Why AAHA
Report
AAHA accreditation is the mark of the gold standard of care within the veterinary industry.
AAHA is an organization that accredits veterinary practices only when they meet approximately 900 different standards of running a truly next generation hospital.
Because of the stringent standards, fewer than 15% of practices in the United States are AAHA accredited.
We are proud to be one of the few.
Because when it comes to a pet that you love like family, nothing less than the best will do.
Medical & Surgical
Report
At Palisades Veterinary Hospital we understand that surgery can be a stressful experience for both you and your pet.
With that in mind, our aim is to put you both at ease, from our first discussion about the need for a surgical procedure through post-operative care and follow-up.
We will always explain why a procedure is necessary, what the procedure entails, what to expect during and after surgery along with any special care your pet will need once the surgery is complete.
Anesthesia is a critical aspect of many veterinary procedures and as in human hospitals, we closely monitor all of your pet's vital signs to ensure their safety and comfort.
Preventative Medicine
Report
Wellness care is the foundation of your pet's long-term health and vitality.
Regular check-ups ensure proper growth and development, bring to light any unique health trends, and enable us to spot and head off potential problems before they grow into full-blown health issues.
By establishing a regular health history, we can compile a fuller, richer picture of your pet's health - a real benefit when it comes to making tough decisions about treatment as your pet ages.
Typical wellness care exams can include blood screenings, radiographs, blood pressure checks, dental check-up, dietary evaluation and education, heartworm and parasite testing and prevention, and vaccinations.
