Southway Animal Clinic is proud to serve Lewiston, ID and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.

If you have any questions about how we can care for your pet, please don't hesitate to call us at (208) 743-0280. We have been coming to Dr. Ard for the past 18 months with our pup, Balin. Dr. Ard and his staff have been very friendly and caring, answered all our questions and have made us feel that Balin was getting the best care. I also like it that they take a few minutes to just visit while we're there even though they have a busy practice.

It builds good relations. We have been entrusting the care of our beloved little dogs to Dr. Ard and his staff at Southway Animal Clinic for many years.

Dental
Report
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet.
Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream.
In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
In spite of these disturbing facts, many pet owners are not aware of the importance of dental care to their pet's health.
There are a lot of different ways to improve your pet's dental hygiene, including home brushing, dental chews, water additives, and regular inspection.
Diagnostics
Report
A thorough physical exam can tell us a great deal about your pet; however, we often need to assess what is happening internally to determine what problem is ailing your pet or if they are truly "Healthy."
To better serve you and your pet, we have a variety of diagnostic equipment available on-site.
We have a full in-house lab where we can run necessary diagnostic tests on your pet.
We offer full CBC/Chemistry blood panels, Urinalyses, Cytologies (assess growths/discharge microscopically), and Fecal exams in a matter of minutes.
Emergency Service
Report
We understand how stressful it can be when your pet needs emergency care, and we have established a system that guarantees that you can get emergency care when you need it.
Because one veterinarian would not be able to provide service for 24-hours/day every day, we have established a coalition with other dedicated, competent veterinarians that practice in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and we share emergency call with those veterinarians.
Although we may not see your pet for an emergency, we are certain that your pet will receive the best of care from our trusted colleagues.
