About
Report
We are a family run clinic with a focus not only on your pet but also on creating a trusting relationship with you.
We want you to feel involved and comfortable with all medical decisions regarding your furry loved one.
For this reason, we schedule extended exams and will always get your pet in the same day if he or she is sick.
We also understand that things happen when you travel so we are more than happy to fit your pet in as soon as possible if you are visiting the area.
We are committed to this community and want to be the LIFETIME VET FOR YOUR PET.
Doctors
Report
Doctors Alex and Casey Erickson are the owners and practicing veterinarians at Cambria Veterinary Clinic.
We are committed to high quality medicine and patient care, and also believe that you should have a doctor for your pet that you trust to offer you guidance and options in caring for your 4-legged family member.
We are hard-working, honest and compassionate when it comes to advising you on anything from preventative care to difficult end-of-life decisions.
Dr. Alex grew up in Los Banos, California and could be found cleaning kennels and helping out at his father's vet clinic from a young age.
Staff
Report
I was born and raised in northern California and began volunteering at our local animal shelter with my sister at the age of 10.
I moved to San Luis Obispo County in 2000 where I continued to pursue my education and love of working with animals.
I received my Registered Veterinary Technician license in 2010 and have since worked in general practice, emergency medicine, high volume spay/neuter clinics and shelter medicine.
In my down time I enjoy photography, camping, hiking and exploring the beautiful central coast with my husband, two sons and our dog Ripley.
Your Pet's Dental Care
Report
Want to give your pet a longer life?
How about a life with less pain, and lower chances of diabetes, liver or kidney problems, or heart disease?
It's easier than you think - we just need to cure your pet's periodontal disease.
Between 70 and 80% of all pets over age three have some degree of periodontal disease.
You can see this begin as tartar accumulation, or the brownish-grey gunk that accumulates on your pet's teeth.
As the infection creeps up under your pet's gums, the gums become reddened and swollen.
Wellness Care
Report
Keeping your pet healthy is important to us and regular wellness examinations are the foundation to helping them live longer, healthier, happier lives.
Wellness care includes comprehensive nose-to-tail exams, early disease detection and candid discussions about your pet's lifestyle and the goals and desires for your four-legged family member.
We also discuss and plan for an individualized vaccine schedule as well as flea, tick, heartworm and parasite prevention based on the risks and benefit to your pet.
