In 1991, Doug's son, Dr. Jeff Holmes, returned home after two years of practice in Pella, Iowa.
The practice showed tremendous growth with Dr. Doug providing the majority of large animal and ambulatory duties, while Dr. Jeff was committed to improving the small animal practice to where it is today.
In 2003, Dr. Jeff purchased the practice from his father after he was forced to retire due to medical reasons.
Since that time, Dr. Jeff has implemented state-of-the-art equipment and services.
Holmes Animal Clinic offers full in-house lab work, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and laser therapy.

We have a grieving room available to create a serene and comfortable atmosphere for both the client and patient.

We now have 8 spacious cat condos available for boarding at the clinic.
Rest easy knowing that your cats are enjoying the luxury of their own cat condo in our cat room, separate from any barking dogs.
We are now able to offer full boarding services to dogs of all sizes at the clinic!
We have cages and runs of all sizes, and even have two luxury tile suites equipped with televisions for your four-legged family members to enjoy during their stay.
Plus, a new outside fenced-in area with artificial turf grass for dogs to run and play!
