We are a full-service veterinary hospital that offers specialty and generalized pet care. We offer a wide variety of diagnostic services, x-ray examinations, surgical procedures, vaccinations and routine check ups. We know that you have choices in the valley and are pleased that you are considering us. Please feel free to stop in for a tour of our facility.

We welcome walk-ins. Think about getting your dog's teeth cleaned while you are vacationing, or perhaps that ACL surgery you have been putting off. What better place for your pet to recover than in your cabin while you can give them all the attention you don't have time for at home. We believe in gentle care- a trip to the vet doesn't have to be scary!

Dr. Michael Marrone graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Georgia in 1975. Dentistry: Good oral health for your pet can result in a longer and happier life!
We offer a myriad of dental services, including: oral and dental exams, cleaning, polishing, and extractions.
New in veterinary medicine is the advent of a synthetic polymer that can be applied after the cleaning.
The polymer seals the teeth and subgingival space from food particles and bacteria, maintaining good oral health for up to 6 months.

Rattlesnake Aversion Training
Report
Methow Valley Veterinary Hospital hosts an rattlesnake aversion clinic run by Natural Solutions, an experienced training company based out of California.
Introduce your dog to a small, live, muzzled, juvenile rattlesnake, native to the area.
This allows your dog to make the proper association of the danger involved with the rattlesnakes in a non-threatening or intimidating introduction to the process.
This facilitates more curiosity and less initial concern of the "new" animal in their environment, putting your dog in a better psychological state for learning during the training process.
Vaccination Guidelines
Report
The Methow Valley Veterinary Hospital vaccination guidelines are based on recently published studies and recommedations made by task forces (including the AAFP/AFM Advisory Panel on Feline Vaccines, AAHA Canine Vaccine Task Force, and the AVMA Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents). These groups have evaluated the benefits versus risks of the vaccines currently available on the market.
These are only general guidelines, as the vaccine types recommended and the frequency of vaccination vary depending on the lifestyle of the pet being vaccinated, i.e. indoor vs outdoor pets, travel plans, kennel/boarding plans, and underlying disease conditions such as immune-mediated diseases or pre-existing infections such as FIV infection.
