In 2009, with the practice expanding and having long outgrown its original walls, the present day existing 8,500 square foot facility was built and Highland Animal Hospital moved next door on an adjacent piece of farmland. In 2012, Dr. Brandon K. Mattson joined our team after working in a veterinary emergency/referral hospital in Northeast PA, becoming one of five doctors employed at the time.
Fortna and Mattson became the new owners of Highland Animal Hospital. What began as a one-doctor practice with two examination rooms and one employee has grown into a multiple doctor practice providing small animal healthcare in the greater Lehigh Valley. Although the practice has grown in size, Highland Animal Hospital continues to strive to provide the same comfortable and friendly atmosphere that it has for over 30 years.
