Animal Medical Clinics of Rockford is owned and operated by Dr. James Buhl and Dr. Alicia Guarino.
The practice was founded by Dr. Cary Thompson in 1987.
Dr. David Tanaglia joined the Clinic about one year later and became Dr. Thompson's first partner.
Under their guidance the Clinic grew to four separate locations.
Dr. James Buhl became a partner in 2007 as Dr. Tanaglia left the practice.
Dr Alicia Guarino entered into a partnership with Dr. Buhl when Dr. Thompson retired in 2015.
With their leadership and with the aid of our talented health care staff, we look forward to serving our clients.

If dropping off for a medical treatment, client will need to allow the time to visit with either a doctor or technician and go over the problems and treatments being preformed.
All air-driven instruments have expanded our capabilities to perform cleaning, and polishing.
Our computerized patient record-keeping system allows us to track your pet's health needs: vaccinations, heartworm exams, fecal exams, dental exams, and medications.
We feel strongly that every pet should be examined at least once a year.

Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open.
If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.
If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has.
