Wellness Exams
Regular wellness exams help detect diseases early and maintain your pet's health. Our veterinarians perform comprehensive physical exams, vaccinations, and screening tests tailored to your pet's age and lifestyle. Current patients receive reduced urgent care fees and 24/7 emergency access.
Emergency Care
We provide 24/7 emergency services for current clients. Starting 2025, urgent care will be available Monday-Friday 9-12 with sign-ups starting at 8am. Our team handles critical cases including injuries, poisoning, and acute illnesses.
Surgical Services
Our experienced veterinarians perform routine and advanced surgical procedures. Services include spaying/neutering, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic procedures. We prioritize patient safety with pre-anesthetic bloodwork and post-operative care instructions.
Pet Dental Cleanings

Practice Owner
Dr. Flores graduated from UC Davis in 2010 and completed a residency in herd health. He returned to Humboldt County in 2014 and became practice owner in 2016. He specializes in mixed animal care and preventive medicine.
Jennifer Renner
Veterinarian
A Humboldt County native, Dr. Renner joined the team in 2008 after graduating from UC Davis. She focuses on dairy animal health and community service, volunteering as a firefighter in Loleta.
Sarah Schroer
Veterinarian
Dr. Schroer has practiced in Humboldt County since 2003. After completing veterinary school at UC Davis, she returned to the area in 2017 to provide mixed animal care. She enjoys cycling and exploring local trails.

Yes, prescription refill requests take 24-48 hours to process. Written prescriptions are valid for 30 days and must be mailed directly to your preferred pharmacy.
What are your regular business hours?
We're open Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm with lunch closure 1-2pm. Both locations are closed weekends but offer 24/7 emergency care.
