As we sat there, I thought about the last couple of weeks spent with Daizy and her family. Daizy had become ill just two weeks before. She was vomiting, urinatin.

Report
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment.
Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable.
Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available.
A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours.
Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so Dr. Tasillo can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients.

Dr. Sue loves practicing in Grand County.
Whether it's pulling porcupine quills from an unlucky dog, stitching a cut on a horse or updating your pet's vaccines, it's all rewarding.
Dr. Sue came here after many years of practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
She wanted to practice in a small community where she got to know her clients, and also be somewhere with lots of open space.
Grand County is perfect!
When not at the clinic, Dr. Sue may be hiking with her dogs.
Her camera is always with her to capture the beauty of this area.

Chris grew up in Denver and graduated from the BelRea Institute in 1997 with a degree in Veterinary Technology.
She spent 13 years as a Certified Veterinary Technician in a practice that specialized in dentistry before coming here in 2010.
In addition to her many technician duties (laboratory tech, surgical nurse, anesthesia monitoring, record keeping) Chris is proficient in canine and equine massage therapy.
Deb is our superb Saturday receptionist.
She deals with all the unusual calls (porcupine quills, dog fights, fish hooks in lips) that somehow happen on weekends!

Report
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of annual physical examinations for healthy pets.
Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.
In addition, regular examinations are the basis for a veterinary client-patient-relationship (VCPR).
The Colorado Veterinary Practice Act requires a valid VCPR in order for diagnosis and treatment of animals.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Diagnosis of problems starts with a thorough history and good physical examination.

Screenings
Report
Our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness.
Changes in behavior can be indicators of sickness.
Sometimes your pet will be back to normal in a few hours, but it is often wise to schedule an exam earlier rather than later.
Hopefully we can solve the problem before it becomes major.
Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years.
In addition to a thorough physical exam, blood tests help us to evaluate health.
Regular testing provides assurance of continued health, and sometimes an early indicator of disease.
