I grew up in Louisiana on a beef cattle and rice farm.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) prior to completing my doctorate of veterinary medicine degree at Louisiana State University in 1989.
I practiced large and small animal medicine in both Louisiana and Virginia for approximately five years before concentrating exclusively on small animal medicine.
My family and I have lived in the Shenandoah Valley area since 1994.

At the Animal Clinic of Verona, we are pleased to offer boarding for your furry family members.
All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff.
Dogs are also given exercise time outside at least twice daily.
Our boarding areas are climate-controlled, keeping your pets warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months.
You are welcome to bring your pet's food, treats, bedding* and toys for their added comfort.
However, if you prefer, we do provide food and bedding here.
We use Royal Canin GI dry or wet food because it is easy on the stomach.
