For daytime emergencies (active clients only), please call to notify us and we will see you as soon as we can - we triage our emergencies. Many boarding kennels now require a series of two Flu shots 3 weeks apart. Clients, please check with your kennel and we will be happy to fit you in if you need to update your dog's vaccinations. We are currently accepting new rabbit patients and we are taking new clients for dogs and cats on a case by case basis.
We are accepting all new PHS patients. We are not accepting transfers of existing patients from other local hospitals and we are not accepting second opinions but can direct you to the most appropriate specialist. All new patients are to have a wellness exam scheduled as the first exam although we make exceptions for small rodents which we will fit in if we can.
We encourage everyone to please have your pet's annual exam scheduled as soon as possible as that will determine whether you will have access to us for any urgent appointments or day time emergencies.

The staff is super friendly, patient and knowledgeable.
Very recently my wife and I got our first puppy together; Laurelwood has made it a great experience.
Weber and Robert always provide excellent care for our two cats and our daughter's German Shepherd.
They squeeze us in when there is an emergency and they are always very thoughtful and thorough examining and treating our pets.
And they take time to explain potential causes of medical issues and how to administer medicines and treat our pets' illnesses.

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease
Report
What is it?
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious, fatal disease found in both wild hares and domesticated pet rabbits.
There is currently no cure for RHDV, and the only protection is vaccination against it.
Treatment for RHDV is isolation and supportive care, with a low rate of survival.
Rabbits may show some, all, or none of these symptoms.
Sudden rabbit death should be taken seriously, and should be reported to your vet as a possible RHDV death.
How could my bunny contract it?
