Vet Wagon
Getting to the veterinary hospital can be stressful for you and your pet. Many pets are much calmer and easier to evaluate and treat when they are in their home environment. We hope to facilitate keeping your pet healthy and comfortable throughout its life with our total pet wellness approach to veterinary medicine. Focusing on preventative care and early detection, Vet Wagon provides a full range of small animal medicine right in the comfort of your home (excluding x-rays and surgery).

We focus on total pet wellness from your pet's birth through the end of life.

About Us
Report
Dr. Susan Cooke has been practicing veterinary medicine since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.
After vet school, Dr. Cooke and her husband returned to Washington, D.C. where they met as undergraduates at Georgetown University.
She lived and practiced in Washington, D.C. with her husband, 4 children and the "urban zoo" (2 cats, a hamster, a gerbil, a turtle and occasional other "fosters").
The Cookes moved to beautiful Round Hill, VA in 2010 and everyone is enjoying the rural setting.
Services / Fees
Report
We service a wide range of Northern Virginia (Loudoun, Clarke, Fairfax and Arlington Counties).
We are sorry but we are no longer accepting new clients in Washington, D.C.
To accommodate this large area we do require a service call fee ($50).
There is only one service call fee per visit despite how many pets we are seeing.
For neighbors that would like to coordinate their visits, they can share the call fee.
We do require a physical exam before any vaccination.
It is important that we know your pet is healthy before we challenge the immune system to make antibodies.
How It Works
Report
We use an appointment window of one hour to allow for traffic and to make sure that we can give each client the attention they deserve.
Once we have arrived, a regular appointment is about 30 minutes.
We ask that you locate and keep your pet accessible one hour prior to your appointment.
You can call or email an appointment request.
Please call us at (202) 999-9397 or email vetwagon@gmail.com.
If you are new to us please use the link in the email to register your companion's information.
Please have any other pertinent previous medical records available at the appointment.
