We are a full-service small animal veterinary clinic in Rockwall, Texas. We provide urgent care, emergency triage, surgery, in-house diagnostics, and overnight hospital care for dogs & cats. We operate on a waitlist & triage basis. This means that patients are seen in order of medical urgency, regardless of what time they arrive or how long they have been waiting.
WE DO NOT SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS FOR THIS REASON. You will be placed on our waitlist during specified times but wait times should still be expected. We appreciate your patience! Our waitlist is dynamic & subject to change based on caseload. Patients are treated based on medical urgency. This will prolong wait times as we will treat critical patients first, regardless of waitlist times.
Our mission is to help pets when they need us the most: after-hours and during weekends. We strive to provide quality medicine with complete transparency about costs, expectations and treatment outcomes. At Rockwall Urgent Vet, we operate on a triage basis.

We know that every second counts when your pet needs care, and that's why we're there when your usual veterinarian is closed.
We're open nights and weekends to make sure that your pet can get the care they need when they need it.
We offer a wide range of critical care services including blood pressure monitoring, digital radiology, EKG monitoring, urgent care surgery, in-house laboratory, oxygen therapy, and ultrasound.
Whether it's the ingestion of something they shouldn't have eaten like cleaning supplies or toxic food, a laceration, or an upset stomach, we'll be there.

Diagnostics
Report
When your pet arrives to see us, you will be greeted by a member of our team.
Once you've made your way to an exam room, we start by looking at your pet's ears and skin and checking his or her cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities.
We will perform blood and/or urine tests as necessary to check your pet's kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system, including the thyroid and adrenal glands.
Based on your pet's condition, we may recommend further diagnostic tests, such as radiography (x-rays), endoscopy (internal scoping), ultrasound, or biopsy.
