Dr Cepeda was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia.
He studied Animal Science at the UNIVERSIDAD LA SALLE in Bogota where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1997.
Licensed in the State of Florida in 2011.
Enrique Fernandez, MVZ (Mdico Veterinario Zootcnista), was previously a Technician and Surgeon Assistant at Hallandale Animal Hospital from 2006-2016.
He has rejoined the team as a Head Technician.
Dr Cepeda was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia.
He studied Animal Science at the UNIVERSIDAD LA SALLE in Bogota where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1997.

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has.
Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life.
Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion.
If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately.
If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Dr. Joe Barbosa acquired the Animal Hospital of Hallandale in 1993 from Dr. Ward, and has been serving the Hallandale community since 1963.
Since then, Dr. Joe Barbosa has performed 1,000+ surgeries (excluding spays and neuters) at his Hospital in Hallandale.

I sincerely say this is one of the best vets in Miami.
Reasonably priced and most importantly actually care!
They are all so friendly and after surgery they called two days later to see how hes doing and if I have any questions!
I recently took my dog to Dr. Barbosa for an Ear hemotoma and the service that he provided was immeasurable.
Not only was the price affordable, but the staff treated us like family.
Dr. Barbosa thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect in the coming days and even showed me pictures of past procedures.
