Pantops Veterinary Hospital
Pantops VET Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary facility, with practice limited to dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. Our goal is to foster trusting partnerships with pet owners in a caring, professional environment. We are located on Rt 20 N, just north of the Rt. 250 intersection. Next to McDonalds. We are on the lower level of the building you see on the picture.

Our entrance is around the back. The staff here have a great love for what they do. You guys do a great job! Everyone is very kind, considerate and helpful. I still can't believe how nice, quick and thorough everyone was! I expected to be there for much longer, but we were in & out in under 30 minutes. Also appreciated the detailed quote for dental cleaning that was emailed later that afternoon!
Services
Dr. Helle M. Stewart: Dr. Stewart is a 1996 graduate of veterinary medicine and has lived and worked in Charlottesville since 1998.
She enjoys medicine and surgery and has completed additional training in Dentistry, Soft Tissue Surgery and Abdominal Ultrasound.
She opened Pantops Vet Hospital in 2007 to be able to offer personalized care to suit individual pet owners needs and to foster the human animal bond.
When Dr. Stewart is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, working out at ACAC and enjoying outdoor activities with her dog Zoey (pictured) and her horse Connor.
This lifestyle includes dogs who rarely go outside and do not get in contact with other dogs.
We also recommend this package to a dog that is prone to vaccine reactions.
This package is perfect for the dog that mostly stays indoor but goes to the groomer or daycare even if it is only occasionally.
This is the solution we recommend if your dog rarely leaves the home but spends time outdoors around the house.
The complete protection to cover all lifestyle activities including trail walks, dog parks, grooming, and boarding.
We typically recommend at least 1 yearly check up for your adult feline friend, while it is recommended for kittens to see them monthly until their final vaccination boosters are complete (around 4 months of age).
During a routine wellness check up, we will discuss your cat's overall health, activity level, appetite, dental care, litter box habits, parasite control, overall lifestyle (whether indoor or outdoor), and discuss which vaccinations are recommended based on these lifestyles.
FVRCP (also known as the feline distemper vaccine) This vaccine helps protect cats against (FVR) feline viral rhinotracheitis (highly contagious virus causing upper respiratory infection), (FCV) feline respiratory disease caused by feline calicivirus (highly contagious virus causing upper respiratory infection) and (FPL) feline panleukopenia (severe highly contagious parvo like virus causing vomiting, fever and diarrhea).
We know how much your pet means to you and your family.
We want to make sure your pet gets the care and attention it needs to live a long and healthy life.
We are here to help!
At Pantops VET Hospital we have all the services you need for your pets check up.
We offer same day appointments as well as drop off service.
It is our goal to advise you how to best care for your pets teeth.
Dental Disease - or "Periodontal Disease" continues to be the most frequently diagnosed condition in companion animals.
Periodontal disease is "progressive inflammation and destruction of the tissues that support teeth."
We believe we can greatly improve your pets quality of life through routine dental cleanings and appropriate extractions as needed.
There is evidence to show that the effects of periodontal disease can range from tooth and bone loss to potentially serious systemic effects.
