Business Details
We have been serving the Johnstown community since our establishment in 1968. Our founding veterinarian, Dr. Thomas M. Dick, laid the foundation for a practice dedicated to high-quality small animal medicine. In 1980 we welcomed Dr. F. Lynn Sanderson as an associate, strengthening our medical expertise. Since 1991, we have partnered to advance our standards of veterinary care. After Dr. Dick's retirement in 2006 and Dr. Sanderson's retirement in 2021, we welcomed Dr. Karen Tiffany, Dr. Leah Trout, and Dr. Dan Bukowski as our practice leaders. We continue to uphold the high-quality practice of veterinary medicine that our founders established.

Our team provides comprehensive wellness exams, vaccinations, and medical problem-oriented exams for both acute and chronic conditions. We perform diagnostic work-ups, soft tissue surgery, digital radiographs, in-house laboratory testing, and MLS laser therapy. We receive consistent praise from clients for our thorough examinations and compassionate, gentle approach. We prioritize clear communication, ensuring pet owners understand every step of their animal's care. Our commitment is to deliver trusted, professional veterinary services that keep the Johnstown community's pets healthy and happy.

Services
Digital Radiographs
Digital radiographs produce detailed internal images that assist our veterinary team in evaluating pet health. This imaging service is used for diagnosing fractures, tumors, respiratory issues, and other internal conditions in small animals. By delivering rapid, high-quality images, we help clients make informed decisions quickly, leading to faster treatment and better recovery for their pets.
In House Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory performs blood, urine, and tissue tests to assess pet health. These diagnostics support veterinarians in detecting infections, organ dysfunction, and metabolic disorders. Having results on site allows quicker diagnoses, reduces wait times, and enables prompt treatment plans for clients.
MLS Laser Therapy
MLS laser therapy delivers targeted light energy to reduce pain and inflammation in animals. This non-invasive treatment is suitable for pets recovering from surgery, arthritis, or soft tissue injuries. Clients observe improved mobility and comfort for their pets, often without the need for medication.
Soft Tissue Surgery
Our veterinarians perform soft tissue surgery to address conditions such as tumor removal, wound repair, and organ procedures. We use modern surgical techniques and monitoring to ensure patient safety throughout the procedure. Clients benefit from clear postoperative instructions and follow-up care, promoting faster healing and reduced complications.
Wellness Exams
Wellness exams include physical assessments, weight checks, and preventive screenings to maintain pet health. During these visits, we update vaccinations, discuss nutrition, and answer owner questions about behavior or concerns. Regular wellness exams help detect issues early, leading to simpler treatments and better long-term outcomes for clients' pets.
