Pioneer Veterinary Hospital was established in 1985 by Dr. Peter Miller and Dr. Daniel Cameron. Dr. Tracy Solis has worked at Pioneer since 2014 after graduating from Washington State University. In early 2019, Dr. Solis became the proud new owner of the veterinary practice and has been serving the community here in Tillamook since. We are a mixed animal practice providing care to every type of animal under the sun, from dogs to dairy herds.

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of pets and livestock through quality veterinary care, education and exceptional client services. Our compassionate staff strives to enhance the life of your animals for the betterment of our community and for our fundamental love of animals. Dr. Solis starting working in Tillamook as a mixed animal veterinarian in November of 2014 and is now the proud new owner of Pioneer Veterinary Hospital!

Most days she is working in the field with large animals (dairy cattle, beef cattle, horses and goats) but also works in the clinic with small animals.
Services
Wellness & Preventive Care
Report
Preventive care is one of the most important parts of your pet's overall health.
With regular wellness exams, routine testing and vaccinations, we can help prevent illnesses entirely or catch life-threatening conditions before they advance to a more serious stage.
We offer comprehensive wellness care for all types of pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, pocket pets, avians and exotic pets.
Our veterinarians generally recommend bringing your pet in for an annual check-up unless they're a senior or need more regular visits to help manage a chronic condition.
Emergency Pet Care
Report
As much as we try to avoid them, accidents can and do happen.
Pioneer Veterinary Hospital accepts emergency cases for cats, dogs, rabbits, pocket pets, avians and exotic pets Monday through Saturday 8am to 8pm.
Our experienced veterinarians and veterinary care team are here to help when you need it most, serving the pet owning community in Tillamook for over 30 years.
We offer both in-clinic emergency care as well as house calls with a mobile veterinarian.
Pioneer Veterinary Hospital provides emergency pet care for small animals in Tillamook County, Cloverdale and the surrounding areas.
Pet Dental Care
Report
Dental exams are an important part of your pet's overall health care.
You might have noticed one of the most common first signs of periodontal disease already: bad breath.
Plaque and tartar buildup is caused by bacteria that cling to your pet's teeth, forming a layer that hardens and begins to move under the gums to cause painful gingivitis.
That bacteria can eventually get into the bloodstream, causing other health problems for your pet.
Left untreated, your pet can suffer from tooth decay, sinus problems and more serious issues.
Spay & Neuter
Report
We know just how important spaying and neutering pets can be here in Tillamook.
Pet overpopulation, especially for cats and dogs, can lead to crowded shelters and too few loving homes for our furry friends.
Pioneer Veterinary Hospital offers affordable spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs in our clinic.
Spaying or neutering your pet can have benefits beyond preventing unexpected litters, too.
Both male and female animals can live healthier lives with their human family.
We perform all surgical procedures in a sterile surgical environment and pets under anesthesia are carefully monitored by our experienced veterinary team.
Pet Surgery
Report
The skilled veterinarians here at Pioneer Veterinary Hospital can provide a wide range of surgical services for cats and dogs.
From a simple spay or neuter to a complex orthopedic procedure, we're here to make sure your pet lives a healthy and happy life by your side.
We perform both planned quality-of-life improving surgeries as well as emergency procedures to save the life of a pet due to an injury or illness.
Please see our Emergency Pet Care page for our extended emergency hours.
You can find information on procedures for avians & exotic pets here.
