Treating each patient like an individual is Midtown's first priority. This helps us to provide them with gold standard medical care, without the fear and anxiety that often accompany a visit to the vet. We believe strongly in continuity of care, so your pet doesn't have to meet a new doctor or technician at every visit. This allows us to develop a bond and build the trust necessary to create a positive relationship with your best friend.

The Staff
Report
Clyde came to us as a stray, and we had high hopes that he would be a talented mouser.
Instead, he's proven to be a wise old soul content to nap his days away and enjoy our limitless supply of treats and snuggles.
You can often find him at the front desk, waiting patiently for the newest member of his fan club to stop by.
Wellness
Report
Please note we REQUIRE rabies vaccines (or Rabies Titers) for all of our canine and feline patients - even if they are indoor-only!
Rabies is always fatal and is endemic to Coconino County.
These exams help us identify any new changes that may affect their health and wellbeing.
Our pets are so much tougher than we are, and by the time they finally admit to us that something is wrong, we've lost valuable time in the fight against whatever may be going on.
For this reason, we require up-to-date annual exams before we will refill medications or schedule routine appointments like nail trims.
Diagnostics
Report
While a veterinarian's physical exam can tell us a lot, sometimes technology has to give us a hand in finding out what your pet needs.
We are equipped with several things to help us figure out what's causing your pet trouble.
What is ultrasound?
Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body, helping us to visualize what might be going on internally.
What is ultrasound used for?
You're probably familiar with the ultrasounds that women get when pregnant.
While we don't typically use ultrasounds to preview pregnancies in pets, the concept is the same.
Dentals
Report
It is estimated that nearly 80% of pets have some degree of periodontal disease by the age of three, which is why dental exams and routine dental cleanings are essential.
When left untreated, periodontal disease can lead to cardiac disease, kidney infection, liver infection, and more.
Not to mention, it's uncomfortable!
Imagine having a toothache for YEARS?!.
Pets can experience many of the same dental issues that humans do, including gingivitis, periodontal disease, tooth loss, oronasal fistulas, infections, and more.
Surgery
Report
Veterinary Surgery is more broad than you would ever think, but both Dr. Mac Kenzie & Dr. Wessel are well-versed in a variety of routine and complicated surgical procedures.
Midtown Animal Clinic's team takes great care with every step of your pet's anesthetic or surgical journey.
We will always perform pre-operative exams and counsel you on how to prepare your pet for the procedure they need, even if you're not having the procedure done here.
We administer all anesthetics with extreme care and caution, tailoring each pet's procedure to suit them and their emotional and medical needs.
