Elkwood Animal Hospital is excited to join the Elkwood, Remington, Brandy Station, and surrounding communities of Culpeper and Fauquier counties to offer you and your pets exceptional veterinary care close to home! We are a country practice offering basic veterinary medical and surgical services for preventive and wellness care, but are also able to offer more advanced care, including orthopedic surgical services, cold laser therapy, ultrasound, and oral surgery for your pets' more complicated needs.

This announcement comes after much consideration by the Elkwood Animal Hospital management team.
Over the course of 2020 and early 2021, it has become increasingly difficult to staff Elkwood Animal Hospital.
We always make an effort to deliver quality care to all our patients, and at this time, it has become clear that to stay open through the summer would require that we sacrifice that high standard of care.
Our other two locations, Compassion Animal Hospital and Catlett Animal Hospital will be open, and they will have extra appointment time available.

Dr. Julia Gibson Beaver, D.V.M. grew up in Catlett, VA with her parents, Don Gibson and Dr. Lisa Gibson D.V.M.
She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree and majored in Agriculture and Applied Economics.
She continued her career at Virginia Tech at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, she worked at a busy mixed animal practice in West Virginia where she met her husband.
She joined our practices in May of 2015.
She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree and majored in Agriculture and Applied Economics.
