Dr. Cox's family always had a farm in Chilton County while he was growing up.
So when he graduated from Auburn University in 1985 he knew he wanted to return to the area and immediately opened his pet hospital on 7th Street North.
His practice is still located there today.
He is married to Melanie Parker Cox, they have 5 children and 12 grand-children.
In the years since opening his hospital, at one time or another, you could always find his wife or one of their children working here.
The hospital has always maintained a 'family atmosphere'.
