The Animal Clinic opened its doors in the summer of 1983 as a mixed animal practice with only one doctor. In 2004 the practice limited itself to small animal only with 4 full time doctors. Today The Animal Clinic employees 7 veterinarians who together share over 122 year of veterinary experience. Our mission is to provide quality, progressive veterinary medicine to the East Tennessee region.

As a multi-doctor practice each doctor offers different professional expertise which fits together to create an expansive portfolio of veterinary skills. The Animal Clinic offers these veterinarians a multitude of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to help guide our doctors to providing the most accurate diagnosis and therapeutic care in all stages of a pet's life, from ensuring healthy growth, promoting health and wellbeing, and alleviating illness, pain and suffering.

We value our client relationships and strive to serve in a courteous, professional, and kind manner as an advocate for your pet's well-being.

Wellness Check-ups
Report
A stethoscope will be used to listen to your pet's heart.
Early signs of heart disease include heart murmurs and abnormal rhythms.
If necessary an Echocardiogram in office will be recommended which will then be assessed by a board certified Cardiologist.
Early detection can lead to identifying underlying conditions and management of disease with medications or a referral for advanced care.
Health issues such as infections, obstructive disease, and other problems can be detected by listening to your pet's lungs via a stethoscope.
