Acupuncture is the practice of inserting thin, sterile needles into specific sites on the body along nerve pathways and blood vessels.
It has been used for thousands of years in people as well as animals.
The needles stimulate pathways in the nervous system that help the body heal itself or reduce pain, which makes it useful in a variety of applications.
Acupuncture is very safe and works well in conjunction with traditional Western medicine.

Dr. Tony Ioppolo obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University in 2004.
He then went back home to Baton Rouge Louisiana where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in 2008.
He felt it to be extremely important to continue to offer quality, personalized care that cannot be given by an out of state corporation.
His clinical interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ultrasonography, dermatology, and dentistry.
He then went back home to Baton Rouge Louisiana where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in 2008.
He felt it to be extremely important to continue to offer quality, personalized care that cannot be given by an out of state corporation.
His clinical interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ultrasonography, dermatology, and dentistry.
