Dermatology
Report
Skin and ear diseases often have a significant impact on a pet's quality of life.
Our goal is to make a specific diagnosis and recommend a treatment plan that is in the best interest of your pet's long-term health.
There are hundreds of different skin diseases currently recognized in dogs and cats.
Many of these diseases look very much alike, with only subtle differences in clinical picture and historical backgrounds.
Our doctors are trained to focus on these differences and pursue a direct and cost effective diagnostic work-up followed by appropriate and effective treatment.

Heartworm Testing
Report
Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease affecting pets in many parts of the United States.
Here in the panhandle of Florida, mosquitoes are a major factor in the spread of heartworms.
Mosquitoes bite infected animals and spread the heartworm larvae when they move on and bite their next host.
These larvae can grow to be foot-long worms that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of infected animals.
Heartworms can cause heart failure, lung disease, and damage to other organs.

Hospice/Euthanasia
Report
No matter how well we love and care for our pets, unfortunately, their time with us is limited.
At Crawfordville Animal Hospital, we have been there providing care through all the phases of your beloved pet's life.
Through our hospice and euthanasia service, we will also be there when your pet's time draws to a close.
Our hospice service provides care for terminally ill pets that still have a quality of life.
Our compassionate veterinarians will assess your pet's overall health condition through blood work and vital signs, and will determine your pet's probable pain levels, and ability to continue to enjoy life.
