Dr. John Parks was born and raised in Burlington, North Carolina.
As an elementary school fifth-grader, Dr. Parks had the unique opportunity to attend a week-long program at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
The purpose of this program was to give younger students a glimpse into what veterinary medicine was all about.

Case Referral
Report
Some circumstances necessitate a referral to a tertiary care facility where, while hospitalized, your animal can be monitored closely, administered supportive care, and have surgery performed if needed.
Dr. Miller and Dr. Parks obtained their veterinary degree from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine (NCSU-VTH) and they have maintained close relationships with their mentors at the teaching hospital.
Therefore, we feel confident in referring cases to the NCSU-VTH in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Equine Vaccinations
Report
Vaccinations are a vital part of proper equine health management.
Few things will protect your horse from the devastation of disease as effectively as immunizations.
Vaccinations provide a protective barrier between your horse and a number of infectious diseases.
A good immunization program is essential to responsible horse ownership; however, vaccination does not guarantee 100% protection.
There are situations where immunizations may decrease the severity of disease but not prevent it completely.
