Canine Wellness
Report
You know what they say - a dog is a man's best friend, which make us your best friend's best friend - after you, of course!
At Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic, we are dedicated to help your furry friend live a longer, healthier, and happier life.
Annual wellness exams are a great way to make sure that your pet is as healthy as possible.
Our doctors recommend annual exams for puppies and adult dogs, and bi-annual exams for senior dogs.
During the wellness exam we will review your dog's medical history, record their weight, and check their vital signs, followed by a thorough physical examination.
Puppy Care
Report
When it comes to puppies, all you want to do is cuddle with them.
And we do, too!
But before we can get too hands-on with these furry guys, we have to establish and ensure that your new companion receives everything it needs to have a healthy start.
A puppy's developing immune system makes them more vulnerable to disease and infection, so our doctors at Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic will schedule a preventative treatment plan that is best for your puppy's first few months of life.
Our doctors will recommend (almost always) an intestinal parasite screening and de-worming, as well as provide you with information on how to prevent external and internal parasites such as fleas, ticks, and heartworms.
Adult Dog Care
Report
At Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic, we want your dog to have the highest quality of life it can!
And when it comes to your companion, we believe that regular wellness exams and thorough history and observations of your pet can help us detect potential health problems.
Evaluation of your dog's coat, skin, eyes and ears, nose and throat, heart and lungs, legs and paws, abdomen and gastrointestinal system, and urogenital system.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call our office at (559) 732-4818.
Senior Dog Care
Report
At Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic, we are determined to help your pet through every stage of life--from puppy to senior.
For dogs, the aging process varies in breeds and sizes.
There is no specific age that your dog is considered a senior.
Generally, large breeds are seniors at five years, medium breeds at seven years, and small and toy breeds at nine years.
During your dog's senior years, they may begin to experience health changes that can affect their mobility, comfort, and overall general health.
