The Tulare-Kings Veterinary Emergency Service was established and is supported by the majority of the veterinarians in this area.
It is designed to provide the best possible medical and surgical emergency service for your pet.
The Tulare-Kings Veterinary Emergency Service is open when other veterinary hospitals are closed or your regular veterinarian is not available.
It is the intention of the Service to specialize predominantly in the emergency treatment of sick and injured animals.
If your pet has a fracture of one or more of his or her bones, the fracture is immobilized in a splint so that no further damage will occur to the fractured bones surrounding soft tissue and blood vessels.

Rabbits are wonderful pets, but are fragile and sometimes require veterinary care.
First, make rabbits should be neutered and female rabbits should be spayed to prevent large litters.
Rabbits should be taken to the vet once every 12 months.
If your rabbit isn't eating, isn't producing pellets, has watery eyes and a runny nose, has swollen skin, is lethargic, or is losing its fur, then you should call to schedule and appointment.
These nocturnal animals are a favorite of adults and children alike.

Our treatment room and surgical preparation area is where we anesthesize our patients to prepare them for surgeries, dentals and various other procedures.
This is also where we treat our hospitalized patients.
Our surgical patients recover in stainless steel cages or stainless steel sided runs (for larger patients).
These cages also house our noncontagious hospitalized patients.
This room is centrally located to facilitate close observation of our patients.
Our lab has the medical equipment for conducting in house blood tests on your pet to provide Dr. Heers with valuable diagnostic information, usually within 20 minutes.
This is also where we treat our hospitalized patients.
